I know you probably hear this all the time and the words might have lost their significance, but I'm really sorry to what is happening to you. I have a high degree of myopia and astigmatism myself and LASIK had always been at the back of my mind, but now I'm beginning to have my doubts. As it is, losing a single digit itself is already traumatic, let alone your eyesight. It is mind boggling that the practitioners could carry on with their lackadaisical attitude, conveniently washing their hands off without nary a guilt.
